The primary responsibility of Court Administration for the Fulton County Juvenile Court is to manage the administrative and business functions of the court, under the guidance of the Presiding Judge. Court Administration employs non-judicial staff to manage court programs and services and provide support to the Court’s Judges.
The mission of Court Administration is to oversee all Court functions through proper, careful, and judicious management. Court Administration’s work supports the Court’s primary mission to:
Protect children and the community in matters brought before the Court, to rehabilitate children, and to restore families.
Create opportunities for the community, partners, and stakeholders to actively engage in this mission.
Management & Oversight
Daily functions performed by Court Administration include:
Accounting & Finance
Develops and manages the Court’s annual budget, in addition to tracking revenues and expenditures throughout the fiscal year.
Communications & Public Outreach
Manages all interactions with the public, members of the press/media, and interagency and intergovernmental communication.
Court & Family Services
Manages Accountability Court programs, the Complaint Office, the Educational Advocate, the Intake Attorney, the Citizen Review Panel and the Mediation program. Click here for more information.
CHINS Unit
Works with pre-adjudicated youth to eliminate and reduce formal court involvement by offering resources and services on the front-end.
Grants Procurement & Management
Identifies grant opportunities, applies for grants, and manages awarded grant funds.
Human Resources
Manages court employees, organizational structure, personnel transactions, and personnel development.
Information Technology
Procures, distributes and manages the Court’s technology-related resources, including computers, laptops, internet protocol, telephones, mobile devices, courtroom recording equipment, and assistive listening devices.
Probation Services
Provides treatment, rehabilitative services, and supervision to children who have been found to violate state and local ordinances. Title VI Compliance
Ensures that the Court is in compliance with the Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 as amended and all related regulations and directives.
Office of the Clerk of Court
Maintains official records of the Court in accordance with existing state and local statutes. Click here for more information.
Quality Assurance and Data Management
Ensures the quality of the data tracked throughout Juvenile Court’s case management system, Justice Case Activity Tracking System (JCATS) and the enhancements recommended by Juvenile Court employees. The Quality Assurance and Data team provides various reports, statistical information, and continuous quality improvement checks on process and data integrity. This unit provides utility support throughout the courthouse by providing administrative support for: policies, research, surveys, tracking of the Court’s departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and JCATS.
